Conformity Factor Analyzer,
A Risk Assessment Tool for Pollutant Emissions on Real-Driving Cycles.

This white paper is about the “Conformity Factor Analyzer”, a 2-year development project, that uses machine learning to provide a statistical risk assessment for non-compliant NOx (nitrogen oxide) emission levels of conventional (ICE) and hybrid vehicles on RDE-compatible cycles.
With RDE (Real Driving Emissions) legislation, a new chapter in emission testing has started for light-duty vehicles. RDE legislation posed new and more complex engineering targets for car manufacturers, with the aim to improve the emission performance in the context of real usage on European roads.
